Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010121954A1] The invention proposes an automated teller machine comprising a camera arrangement having a plurality of cameras (CAMS, CAMD, CAMK), which are mounted in the proximity of the control panel of the automated teller machine and capture images of elements arranged there, such as the keyboard, money-dispensing compartment, and card entry slot, for example, in order to detect manipulation attempts on the automated teller machine. Preferably, one of the cameras (CAMK) is integrated in the card entry slot. The cameras (CAMS, CAMD, CAMK) are connected to a data processing unit (10) that processes the image data (D) produced by the cameras. The image data is also combined and analyzed in order to detect manipulation of one or more of the cameras. In particular, anomalies that relate to the image content, the image composition, and/or the image quality, particularly the image illumination and/or brightness, are analyzed.
