[origin: EP2422658A1] The tray has a side wall (4) and another side wall arranged relative to each other in parallel and perpendicular to a base (3) in an erected form. A tongue (14) is hinged at both sides of the base. The base includes a fold line (a), which divides the base into two base part pieces (8, 8'). The side walls include two side wall halves (6, 7) provided with holding strips (11). The holding strips include respective notches (9), where a clamping element e.g. rubber strap, is guided through the notches of the strips. The clamping element connects the side wall halves with each other. The tray is made of paper or cardboard. An independent claim is also included for a display comprising a display casing.
