[origin: EP2423929A1] The device has a decontaminating device for decontaminating a portion of a contact area of a contact stud (3) of a substrate (1) using a decontamination electrode (5) by applying nonuniform electric field. Fluid e.g. gas, is provided between the contact stud and the decontamination electrode. The decontaminating device and the fluid are provided such that the electric field generates force directed toward the decontamination electrode on an organic contaminant by dielectrophoresis process. Another contact stud (4) is integrated to the substrate.
