[origin: WO2010091666A1] The invention relates to a leveling aid for beam substructures, in particular of balcony and terrace covers, having a retaining element mounted in contact with the wood/beam (14) in the installed state, having mounting elements engaging in the wood, and having a threaded insert (10) substantially centered therein, and a threaded spindle (22) guided therein such that it can be adjusted by the thread. According to the invention, the retaining element is a retaining clip (1) that can be attached to the beam (14) by means of at least one screw (20) as a fastener, such that the threaded insert (10) is provided on a supporting segment (3) of the retaining clip protruding downward or outward at the side of, on, or under the beam, wherein the threaded spindle runs outside of the wood. Simple, secure leveling is hereby achieved with optimal support.
