The invention further relates to a method for producing an engagement relay (10), a switch cover (12) being inserted into a housing part (40) in a method step, then a flanged edge (52) of the housing part (40) being deformed so that said flanged edge (52) encompasses a flange bead (41) of the switch cover (12) and thus produces a form-fit connection (60) between the switch cover (12) and the housing part (40), characterized in that an inner side of the flanged edge (52) is provided with a contour (55) enabling a form-fit before the switch cover (12) is inserted.
