[origin: EP2426055A1] A handling device (1) has a support frame and a load bearing unit (3) for attachment to the band gap ring (27). The load receiving unit is rotatably mounted on the support frame about a rotational axis. The band gap ring is fastened by a holding device while performing the fixing process by a spreader. A recess (35) is formed at the load bearing unit for allowing the passage of a tape (46) supplied by a binding station (40) so that the tape is placed around the band gap ring, as long as holding of the load receiving unit. An independent claim is included for binding method of band gap ring.
