Die Erfindung betrifft ein Universalprofil, insbesondere zur Abdeckung von Fugen zwischen unterschiedlich hohen Bodenbelägen, mit einem Unterprofil (1), welches mit einem Deckprofil (7) verbindbar ist. Um ein solches Universalprofil ohne Werkzeug montieren zu können, schlägt die Erfindung vor, dass das Unterprofil (1) einen in Richtung des Deckprofils (7) weisenden Kopfabschnitt (4) mit zwei sich gegenüberstehenden Wangen (5) aufweist, wobei jede Wange (5) einen nach außen weisenden Rastzahn (6) aufweist, welcher in eine Innenbezahnung (8) des Deckprofils (7) eingreift und wobei der Kopfabschnitt (4) des Unterprofils (1) einen V-förmigen Außenquerschnitt aufweist.
