[origin: WO2010128250A1] The invention relates to a phonation assistance device (24) for a tracheotomy patient (12), including: an exhalation circuit (30) connected to a tracheotomy cannula (26) inserted in the trachea (22) of the patient (12), the exhalation circuit (30) including an outlet opening (38) for the passage of the air exhaled by the patient (12); and a valve (40) for opening/closing the outlet opening (38) for normally assuming, when the patient (12) inhales, a position for closing the outlet opening (38) and, when the patient (12) exhales, a position for closing the outlet opening (38). It also includes means (M) for the positive priority control of the valve (40) for selectively moving the valve (40) into the closed position when the patient (12) exhales.
