Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2428129A2] The protective helmet (6) comprises an outer shell (1) which is made of a hard material. The impact on a head (5), is received by an inner support unit which is arranged on an inner side of the outer shell. The inner support unit is divided in a shell-sided pad (7) and a head-sided pad (8). An independent claim is also included for a method for reducing or preventing a head injury.
