[origin: EP2428450A1] The method involves filling tobacco portions (28, 36) in dosing chambers (17-19) of a dosing device (10), where the tobacco portions are blown out from the dosing chambers using exhaust air. Superheated water vapor is added to the exhaust air, and the dosing chambers are pressurized with vacuum during filling process, where the exhaust air and the water vapor are blown into empty dosing chambers. The water vapor is added after blowing out the tobacco portions from the dosing chambers, and a conveying channel (37) is arranged downstream along a conveying direction (29) of the dosing chambers. An independent claim is also included for a device for dosing oral tobacco, comprising a dosing plate.
