[origin: WO2010129984A1] A multifunction fitness device for elastic resistance systems is achieved according to the invention by a mechanical resistance holding system, which is provided in the form of a single or a double design and which, as rotary mechanism, is composed of an upper (14) and a lower (20) rotary disk connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a vertical axis (19) or, as a sliding mechanism, is composed of two angle profiles (59, 60) connected by a frame, all said components being provided with boreholes and partial boreholes for receiving coupling elements (18) and coupling bushings (16), which are connected to oblong elastic resistance materials (15) of varying thicknesses and with which the mechanical resistance holding system is equipped. The invention is further achieved by a mechanical drive positioning system, comprising an angular drive unit (24a), a switching and adjusting mechanism (25-27), and an unlocking and locking unit (28, 29, 33-37), and by a mechanical catch system, which comprises a technical catch part (32) for receiving the coupling elements having the elastic resistance materials, and comprising a guide part (31), which slides on guide tubes (12) and comprises a lifting block system having a mechanical rope pulley adjusting system (39-41) that is integrated into a holding design (1-6).
