[origin: WO2011003664A1] The invention relates to a device for removing residues from the surface of a strip fed from a strip processing system in an operating direction by way of a liquid stream or a liquid solid stream directed at the moving strip, comprising at least one outlet nozzle with an outlet opening from which the liquid stream or liquid solid stream exits. In order to improve the cleaning effect and to reduce the required amounts of liquid, according to the invention, the longest extension of the outlet opening of each outlet nozzle is smaller than the width of the strip and the device has means for moving each outlet nozzle at an angle relative to the operating direction of the strip, wherein the speed of each outlet nozzle is greater than the speed of the strip.
