Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010130774A1] The invention relates to a continuous press, particularly for producing engineered wood boards or the like, comprising an upper press part (1) having an upper press plate (2), a lower press part (3) having a lower press plate (4), and press belts (7) which revolve endlessly in the upper press part (1) and in the lower press part (3), are guided over deflection rollers (5, 6), and are supported on the respective press plate (2, 4) by means of interposed rolling element assemblies (8), wherein at least one of the deflection rollers (5, 6) is designed as a driving roller (6) and is provided with at least one drive (13) which acts on the driving roller (6) by means of an interposed gear unit (14). The drive (13) is configured as an electric motor that has a disk-type design and that comprises at least one rotating rotor disk (15) which acts on the driving roller (14) by way of only one planetary gear (14).
