[origin: EP2431247A2] The vehicle has a vehicle body structure comprising side walls (100) that run through longitudinal sides of the vehicle, where each side wall comprises an upper longitudinal beam (120) and a lower longitudinal beam (130). The side walls are provided with a side wall metal sheet. The side wall metal sheet vertically extends from the lower longitudinal beam to the upper longitudinal beam to stiffen an extending long trough (115). The long trough is designed as a bulge of the side wall metal sheet to a vehicle outer side, where the long trough is in a form of channel.
