[origin: WO2010133214A1] The invention relates to a method for producing annular formed metal sealing elements, wherein at least two sheet metal or foil strips of prescribed thickness, length, and width are brought into operational connection with each other in the manner of a tailored blank or patchwork, and said composite is then wound into a tube, wherein the end areas of the tube-shaped multilayer composite facing each other are connected to each other in an adhesive, force-fit, or form-fit manner, or combinations thereof, particularly by thermal effects, such as by welding or soldering, and the tube is either divided into individual ring elements that are then deformed into the sealing element by mechanical forming, or the entire tube is deformed and said tube thus profiled is divided into ring elements forming the individual sealing elements.
