[origin: WO2010133800A1] The invention relates to a writing implement comprising a tubular body (10), a writing member (2) that is movable relative to the body between an extended position and a retracted position. A first magnetic member (3) is secured to the writing implement (2). The tool has a selection device (20) that includes a second magnetic member (4) and an actuation member (A) adapted for moving from the retracted configuration to the writing configuration. In the retracted configuration, the magnetic members (3, 4) have opposite magnetic poles contacting one another. In the other configuration, the magnetic members have poles with the same polarity facing each other and generating a repulsion force that urges the writing member towards a maximum extended position in which the latter is in contact with a longitudinal abutment (12) of the body and remains movable in the backward direction, the repulsion force in this configuration being adapted for absorbing the writing pressure.
