Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2010134024A1] The present invention relates to a bituminous binder comprising bitumen and at least two additives for reducing temperatures required for manufacturing, applying, and compacting coated materials or asphalt, the first additive being a pure or mixed tall oil derivative, and the second additive being a monoester of a fatty acid mixture. The invention also relates to methods for the low-temperature preparation of coated materials and asphalt produced from the binder containing said additives. The invention finally relates to the use of the binder containing the additives for making coated materials and asphalt at lower temperatures, and to the use of said coated materials and asphalt, in particular for roadwork applications for foundation layers, base layers, sub-base layers, or surface layers such as binding layers and/or roadway surfaces.
