[origin: WO2010133791A1] The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a bundle (40) of plates for a heat exchanger made up of a stack of plates (41). The method involves reducing the initial thickness of each plate (41) by machining while forming, at least at the periphery of said plate (41), at least one connecting shoe (45) having a height greater than the thickness of the machined plate (41), forming corrugations (42) on the central portion of the plate (42), stacking the plates (41) in pairs, connecting the contacting shoes (45) of the plates (41) of each pair by a weld bead (50), stacking the pairs of plates (41), and connecting the contacting shoes (45) of the pairs of plates (41) by a sealed weld bead (50), the pairs of plates (41) being stacked such that open and closed ends for supplying and discharging the fluid alternate.
