[origin: EP2434078A2] The stop unit has a locking device (20) holding a door in an open position. A holding device (21) fixes the locking device in a locking position in an operating condition and releases the locking device in another operating condition. A decoupling device e.g. lever mechanism, is actuatable by a sliding piece (11) of a door closer. The holding device is decoupled relative to the locking device, and the locking device is released independent of the operating conditions of the holding device by triggering the decoupling device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a door closure system comprising door closures (2) a method for operating a stop unit.
