[origin: WO2010136689A1] The invention relates to a rear section for an automobile, comprising an electric motor powered by a power supply module (10), said section including a luggage compartment (7) delimited by a crossbar (8) at the rear portion thereof and by a floor (4a) at the lower portion thereof, the floor being adapted for attaching the power supply module (10) inside the luggage compartment. According to the invention, said rear section includes a retaining device (14) placed inside the luggage compartment for protecting said module (10) in the event of a rear impact or jamming.
