Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010136366A2] The invention relates to a method for operating a drive train of a motor vehicle, wherein the drive train comprises a hybrid drive as the drive unit, comprising an internal combustion engine (1) and an electric machine (2), wherein a coupling (5) is connected between the internal combustion engine (1) of the hybrid drive and the electric machine (2) of the hybrid drive, wherein a transmission (4) is connected between the electric machine (2) of the hybrid drive and an output (3) of the drive train, and wherein either a primary retarder (6) is connected between the electric machine (2) of the hybrid drive and the transmission (4), or a secondary retarder is connected between the transmission and the output. In order to heat hydraulic fluid when the coupling (5), which is connected between the internal combustion engine (1) of the hybrid drive and the electric machine (2) of the hybrid drive, is open and when a gear is engaged in the transmission (4), a braking torque is provided in the drive train by way of the primary retarder (6) or the secondary retarder, wherein the electric machine (2) of the hybrid drive is operated in a torque-controlled manner such that the same, of the amount in total, supplies a target torque that is dependent on a driver's command and the braking torque of the primary retarder (6) or the secondary retarder.
