[origin: WO2010135753A2] A plate cooler for fluids, particularly hydraulic fluid, comprising a parallelepiped assembly composed of spaced plate elements (1), which enclose vertical fluid channels (2) and interposed air channels (3) and at the end are connected to a distribution box (4) disposed at the upper ends thereof and to a collection box disposed at the lower end thereof, wherein the distribution box and the collection box are closed at both ends and have at least one upwardly and/or downwardly directed horizontal opening (7), to each of which a connecting element in the form of a closing plate or an adapter piece, having a horizontal opening aligned with the horizontal opening of the box and having a connecting opening for a feed or discharge leading away, can be connected and fastened to the guide grooves of the box.
