[origin: EP2436365A2] Composite material comprises: (a) fillers (greater than 75-95 wt.%) comprising a mixture of (a1) non-agglomerated, organic surface-modified nanoparticles with a mean particle size of less than 200 nm (greater than 10-30 wt.%) and (a2) microparticles having an average particle size of 0.4-10 mu m (45 to less than 85 wt.%) and (a3) optionally further fillers; (b) polymerizable monomers (3 to less than 25 wt.%), (c) one or more initiators and/or catalysts, and (d) optionally one or more other additives. Composite material comprises: (a) fillers (greater than 75-95 wt.%) comprising a mixture of (a1) non-agglomerated, organic surface-modified nanoparticles with a mean particle size of less than 200 nm (greater than 10-30 wt.%) and (a2) microparticles having an average particle size of 0.4-10 mu m (45 to less than 85 wt.%) and (a3) optionally further fillers; (b) polymerizable monomers (3 to less than 25 wt.%) comprising (b1) one, two or more monomers having a structure (Q(Y xZ e) b, (b2) one, two or more further free-radically polymerizable monomers comprising acrylates and methacrylates, preferably methacrylates, where one or more further free-radically polymerizable monomers are no compounds (monomers) of the above-defined structure Q(Y xZ e) band where the ratio of the mass of component (b1) to the mass of component (b2) is 1:20-4: 1, (c) one or more initiators and/or catalysts, and (d) optionally one or more other additives. Q : saturated or olefinically unsaturated polyalicyclic structural element comprising bicyclic, tricyclic, tetracyclic, pentacyclic and hexacyclic hydrocarbon radicals, optionally one, two or more of hydrogen atom of this polycyclic structural elements Q not substituted by Y xZ e, are substituted by alkyl, alkoxy, halo or trifluoromethyl; b, e : 1-4; Z : -O-(C=O)-CH =CH 2, -O-(C=O)-C(CH 3)=CH 2(preferred), -(C=O)-CH=CH 2, -(C=O)-C (CH 3)=CH 2, -CH=CH 2, -C(CH 3)=CH 2or -O-CH=CH 2; x : 0 or 1; and Y (when x is 1) : a structural element which combines the polyalicyclic structural element Q with e structure elements Z.
