The dumbbell (10) has electromotors (20, 30) arranged around a rotatable imbalance component (40) in a rotational axis (A), where the imbalance component is displaced in a rotating motion around the rotation axis. The electromotors are designed as direct current (DC) motor. A DC power source is electrically connected with the electromotors that are arranged in a parallel manner. The imbalance component is connected with the electromotors by shaft ends. A bar is located in a barbell. A dumbbell clutch (100) is arranged between dumbbell heads.

Die Hantel mit einer rohrförmigen Hantelstange mit einer im Inneren der Hantelstange untergebrachten Vibrationsvorrichtung, mittels der die Hantelstange in Vibrationsbewegungen versetzbar ist, zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass die Vibrationsvorrichtung einen ersten Elektromotor und einen zweiten Elektromotor, die jeweils schwingungsmäßig mit der Hantelstange verbunden oder verbindbar sind, sowie eine zwischen dem ersten und zweiten Elektromotor angeordnete um eine Rotationsachse rotierbare Unwuchtkomponente aufweist, wobei zum Bewirken von Vibrationsbewegungen der Hantelstange die Unwuchtkomponente von dem ersten und dem zweiten Elektromotor in eine rotierende Bewegung um die Rotationsachse versetzbar ist.
