The program control device (19) has a first operating mode in which at least one wash program (SP1) can be activated that specifically provides for a supply of hot water (WW) from the external hot water supply (WA) during at least one partial wash cycle (RG) of a wash cycle (SG1), and/or a second operating mode in which at least one wash program (SP2) can be activated that specifically provides for a supply of cold water (KW) from the external cold water supply (KA) only during at least one partial wash cycle (TG) of a wash cycle (SG1).
