[origin: WO2010142569A1] The invention relates to a dishwasher, especially a domestic dishwasher (1), comprising a tub (2) for accommodating dishes, a water inlet device (5) for receiving water from at least one external water supply (WH, KH), at least one storage tank (14) which can be supplied with water by the water inlet device (5) and which is in heat-conducting contact with the tub (2) and a program control device (19) in which at least one wash program (SP) for controlling a wash cycle for cleaning dishes is stored. The water inlet device (5) comprises a hot water inlet (6, 7) and a cold water inlet (8, 9), the hot water inlet (6, 7) being adapted to receive hot water from an external hot water supply (WH) and the cold water inlet (8, 9) being adapted to receive cold water from an external cold water supply (KH). The wash program (SP) has at least one program step (RS, ZS, KS) for washing dishes using hot water from the hot water supply (WH) and at least one drying step (TS) for drying the dishes, the storage tank (14) being at least temporarily filled with cold water from the cold water supply.
