[origin: WO2010142720A1] The invention relates to an arrangement for heating railroad switches, comprising a shaped element which has a space accommodating a heat source and which can be connected to the switch element of the railroad switch. The aim of the invention is to improve the transfer of energy into the switch. Said aim is achieved by arranging the shaped element on the switch element, namely an outer rail or switch point, below the head of the outer rail or switch point, and designing the shaped element in such a way that the space accommodating the heat source can be connected to the switch element so as to conduct heat across the largest possible contact surface facing the switch element.
