[origin: EP2442013A2] The illumination unit (10) has a semiconductor light source (12) and a reflector (14), where the illumination unit receives the light (16) of the semiconductor light source. A light guide (18) is adjusted on the reflector. The reflector has a base form that is formed by pivoting a parabolic portion (24) around an imaginary axis (26). The light guide and the reflector are arranged relative to each other.
