Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2010144926A1] The invention relates to a device for separating coarse solids from a viscous fluid, for example a fiber suspension, comprising means for separating coarse materials from the acceptable material and means for discharging and removing the coarse materials from the device, wherein in a separating chamber (5), into which the raw fluid flows and in which the coarse materials are separated from the acceptable material, at least one movable mechanical discharge unit (6) is arranged, which moves the coarse materials deposited or enriched there into at least one discharge region (70, 80). The invention is characterized in that said discharge region (70, 80) can be temporarily partitioned off the separating chamber (5) by the discharge unit (6), whereby at least one discharge chamber (7, 8) is formed, which is spatially delimited from the separating chamber (5) and from which the coarse materials are discharged from the device.
