[origin: WO2010145941A1] The invention relates to a method for train data entry for a multisystem configuration for train safety, having an old system (2) and a master system, particularly ETCS – European Train Control System – (1) and a multisystem configuration suitable for performing the method. In order to enable upgrading the old system and simple and secure train data entry by means of only peripheral adaptations to the old system, the train data are entered into a master-side DMI – Desktop Management Interface – (9), the DMI (9) configures the train data for the old system (2) and enters them into the same, the old system (2) mirrors the train data to a transfer system, the master system reads the mirrored train date and compares them to the entered train data, and the master system initiates an acknowledgement signal affecting the old system (2) if the data match, and initiates an error routine if the data do not match.
