[origin: WO2010146103A1] The invention relates to an optical system having a flat anisotropic retroreflector section, which specularly reflects radiation components in a first plane of incidence but retroreflects radiation components in a second plane of incidence, a first imaging section, which produces a linear intermediate image on the retroreflector section from an object point in an object plane at a specified relative position to the system, which intermediate image extends along a line in the second plane of incidence, and a second imaging section, by means of which the linear intermediate image is imaged into an image point.
