Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2010149911A2] The invention relates to a partition device mounted on the rear surface of a foldable back (1) of a vehicle seat. The device includes a first panel (7) with an edge pivotably mounted on a first side edge of the seat, a second panel (6) with an edge pivotably mounted on the front edge of the back (when folded), and a third panel (8) with an edge pivotably mounted on the second side edge of the back. The partition is formed by pivoting the panels (6, 7, 8) from the folded position thereof on the rear surface of the back (1) so as to be essentially vertical. The partition thus formed has a cross-section in the shape of a U in which the open portion is directed toward the rear of the seat in order to form a partitioned extension of the loading space behind the seat. A canopy with a winder (5) arranged in the upper portion of the rim of the door adjacent to the seat is pulled up to the opposite edge of the partition so as to close the partitioned space and to conceal the same from view.
