[origin: WO2011001388A1] The apparatus for wrapping products with a film made of extensible material comprisesa supply unit (11) having a first spool (12) of extensible material film, a rotation device (3) suitable to produce a relative rotation of said supply unit (11) with respect to the products to wrap, and a shifting device (9) suitableto shift said supply unit (11)with respect to the said products to wrap. The apparatus comprises an auxiliary supply unit (21), associated with said supply unit (11), which has a second spool (22) of extensible material film, axially movable with respect to said supply unit (11) in order to increase, during the wrapping phase, the wideness of the band of extensible material unrolled around the said products.
