The household appliance has packaging elements (15-18) that are provided at the side surfaces of main portion, so as to cover the preset regions of main portion. The structural elements (1,5,7,9) are provided at the uncovered regions of the main portion. Each packaging element is comprised of force transmission area with force application region (21) which acts as bearing surface for structural element.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Haushaltsgerät, insbesondere eine Geschirrspülmaschine, das wenigstens ein an einer Seitenfläche des Haushaltsgeräts angeordnetes Verpackungselement (15 bis 18) aufweist, wobei das Haushaltsgerät wenigstens ein im unverkleideten Bereich der Seitenfläche angeordnetes, tragendes Strukturteil (1, 5, 7, 9), etwa einen Behandlungsbehälter oder ein Trag- beziehungsweise Stützelement, aufweist. Erfindungsgemäß weist das Verpackungselement (15 bis 18) wenigstens einen Kraftübertragungsbereich (20) auf, der eine Kraftangriffsfläche (21) aufweist, die in Anlage mit dem tragenden Strukturteil (1, 5, 7, 9) ist.
