Abstract (en)
A shot tube plunger (128) for a die casting system includes a first face (41), an opposing second face (43) and an outer surface (45) disposed between said first face (41) and said opposing second face (43). A channel (51) circumferentially extends about the outer surface (45). The channel (51) is operable to receive a portion of a charge of material (M) introduced into the die casting system.
