Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2451193A2] The device i.e. behind-the-ear hearing device (1), has a hearing device housing (2), a humidity sensor (10) for determining ambient humidity (UF1), and a changing unit (12) for changing an operating condition and/or an operating parameter of the device depending on the detected ambient humidity. Another humidity sensor is arranged in interior of the hearing device housing and determines another ambient humidity in the interior of the hearing device housing. The changing unit is switched to a hearing device program depending on the former ambient humidity. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a hearing device.
