[origin: WO2011003791A1] The invention relates to a contacting device for electrically contacting tie beams of a suspension in an elevator system, comprising: a housing (3, 4) having a recess in which an exposed segment (16) of the suspension (1) can be received so that the housing (3, 4) at least partially encloses said exposed segment (16) of the suspension (1); raised areas (7) and recesses (8) alternatingly disposed on an inner side (5) of the housing (3, 4), wherein a raised area (7) and a recess (8) face each other in a state of use; at least one contact element (6) disposed in a recessed area (8) of the housing (3, 4); wherein the at least one raised area (7) can be pressed against a tie beam (11) of the suspension (1), such that the tie beam (11) can be brought into electrical contact with the contact element (6).
