[origin: WO2011003427A1] The invention relates to a tamping pick (5), comprising a shaft expansion (10) at a lower end (9) of a pick shaft (6). Said shaft expansion is equipped with an outer diameter that is greater than the diameter of the pick shaft (6) and a stop surface (12) that is provided for resting on the tamping lever (4) of your tamping unit and that extends perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (11).
