[origin: WO2011006816A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a shaped part having an inner contour and an outer contour, wherein the shaped part is machined from a blank and, in at least two successive processing steps, is roughed down and smoothed. To be able to produce a shaped part of the desired final geometry in the machining process with a high feed rate, it is proposed that, in a first processing step, the shaped part is roughed down in a first region, that, in a second processing step, the shaped part is roughed down in a second region, differing from the first region, that, in a third processing step, the second region is smoothed and that, in a fourth processing step, the first region is pre-smoothed and then, in a fifth processing step, is smoothed.
