Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011007080A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a ventilation system (16) for electrical power storage devices (4) that are used to pull a hybrid or electric vehicle (21), said vehicle comprising a means (20) for generating renewable power from solar radiation. The method is characterized in that it uses the available renewable power to systematically turn on a ventilation system (16), for the storage devices (4), that is supplied with said power in order to prevent the accumulation of the gases produced by the storage devices (4) in the event of mechanical failure, and in order to limit the radiation-induced temperature increase of said devices (4) in an enclosed environment, particularly when the vehicle (21) is off.
