[origin: WO2011006813A2] The invention relates to a mounting bracket (4, 44, 45) having a base plate (5) having a bottom side (13) and a top side (14), wherein a retaining element for an edge of a cladding element (2, 2', 2”) is provided on the top side (14) of the base plate (5) and symmetrically disposed support arms (15a, 15b) are disposed on the bottom side (13) for interacting with a mounting rail (3, 3', 3”), wherein a rotary guide region (18) is disposed on the bottom side (13) of base plate (5), and the support arms (15a, 15b) disposed on the bottom side (13) are attached to the rotary guide region (18); and a mounting rail (3, 3', 3”) having opposite side surfaces (21, 22), a top side (10), and a bottom side (19) facing a building surface in the mounted state, and having symmetrically disposed undercut surfaces (16a, 16b) for interacting with the support arms (15a, 15b) of a mounting bracket (4, 44, 45), wherein a guide groove (11) is provided on the top side (10), and that all undercut surfaces (16a, 16b) of the mounting rail (3, 3', 3”) are formed behind an opening (17) of the guide groove (11) by regions expanding the guide groove (11); and a method for erecting cladding surfaces (F) by means of the mounting brackets (4, 44, 45), mounting rails (3, 3', 3”) and cladding elements (2, 2', 2”, 30).
