Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2455267A1] The system has vehicles (3) movable along a track by closed conveying cables (1, 2). A drive is associated to the cables and drives the cables independent of each other. Clamping devices (31-35) couple the vehicles to the cables. The cables are approximately arranged in a line following each other in a longitudinal direction of the system. The clamping devices are arranged at a distance from each other. The clamping devices are decoupled from one of the cables and coupled to the other cable during transfer of the vehicles from one of the cables to the other cable by a control rail (4). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a system for conveying persons.
