Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2455617A2] The blower (7) has a diffuser (9) arranged downstream to a blower wheel (19). A control device (23) is arranged between the blower wheel and the diffuser. A confuser (31) is arranged in the diffuser. A ratio between an inlet surface and an outlet surface of the diffuser and/or partial diffusers (29.1-29.3) is smaller than or equal to 0.95. Another ratio between an inlet surface and an outlet surface of the confuser is larger than or equal to 1.04. Flow speed of air at an outlet of the diffuser or the partial diffusers and the confuser are approximately equal.
