The convex underside portion (25) is formed in control element corresponding to concave surface of trough-shaped portion such that control element is rotatably arranged inside trough-shaped portion to set operating conditions of the domestic appliance. A light exit region is formed in the region of concave surface of trough-shaped portion such that the light entering into light entry region (27) at underside portion of control element is coupled to light exit region.
