Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2455925A2] The method involves generating image data (VD) by a camera (CAM) that is installed at a self-service terminal (ATM). The image data are transmitted to a receiving device (PC) i.e. personal computer, over a connection (CBL), and a receiving area is detected by the camera, where the receiving area covers a control region (B) of the self-service terminal to be supervised. External influence on the camera system is detected to check whether a technical state change arises within the camera system. A detection is made to find whether the camera system is deactivated by external influence. An independent claim is also included for a self-service terminal comprising a device for controlling manipulation attempts at a camera system.
