Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2456013A2] The method involves providing hollow cylindrical support sleeve (4) on predetermined portion of protective sheath, such that support sleeve is liberated relative to outer conductor (5). A radial force is applied along circumferential direction on the outer side of the outer conductor, so to obtain cold weld between the support sleeve and the outer conductor. An independent claim is included for crimping tool.
