[origin: WO2012041356A1] The invention relates to a spray head, comprising a housing (1) having a water inlet (10), at least one water guide (2, 3), and a housing bottom (4), in which jet outlet openings (44) are arranged, wherein the water guide (2, 3) is used as a connection between the water inlet (10) and a number of jet outlet openings (44) and a valve element (8) for sealing a valve opening (31) is provided for the water guide (3). According to the invention, the valve element (8) is movably mounted on both sides and a control device (9) having at least one control element (92, 93, 94, 95) that acts on the valve element (8) is provided, wherein said control element defines a translational movement of the valve element (8) by a valve stroke (y).
