Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011009651A1] The invention relates to a method and a device for displacing and storing brake fluid for a hydraulic brake system of a vehicle. To this end, the brake system comprises at least one hydraulic accumulator, at least one brake booster and at least one brake circuit, wherein the brake booster is designed in such a way that by actuating the brake booster, even without intervention by the driver, a brake fluid volume can be displaced automatically. The essence of the invention is that - brake fluid is displaced into the hydraulic accumulator by the automatic actuation of the brake booster and stored and - depending on the operating state of the brake system, at least part of the stored brake fluid is emptied from the hydraulic accumulator into the brake circuit.
