[origin: WO2011009844A1] The invention relates to a method for finishing textiles by means of a chemical in a household washing machine 1 having a washing drum 2, in which the textiles can be received, comprising the steps: (i) receiving the textiles in the washing drum 2; (ii) providing an aqueous solution 5 of the chemical; (iii) generating a foam 6 from the aqueous solution 5 of the chemical, and introducing the foam 6 into the washing drum 2; (iv) displacing the textiles in the foam (6) by rotating the washing drum (2), and wetting the textiles with the foam 6.
