[origin: WO2011009674A1] The invention relates to a pedal unit having a contactless sensor for capturing a displacement of a pedal (24, 25) and an indicator device and sensor element, and to a method for producing a pedal unit, wherein a pedal is displaceably supported about a hollow axis (23). The contactless sensor is further disposed in the region of the hollow axis, having an indicator (15) and a sensor element (17) for capturing a displacement of the pedal. The sensor element and the indicator are disposed such that an air gap is formed between the sensor element and the indicator, wherein the air gap is oriented in the direction of the hollow axis.
